More Information

Lamb of God is a profoundly moving sacred work for choir, orchestra, soloists, and narrators that tells the story of the final days of Jesus Christ's mortal ministry through the eyes of those who loved Him and knew Him best: Peter, John, Thomas, Mary and Martha of Bethany, Mary Magdalene and his Mother Mary.

Lamb of God is performed every year around the world by thousands of musicians across dozens of faiths. The work blends traditional classical and contemporary sacred music through a narrated format interspersed with the musical pieces that guides the audience through the story while allowing its inspiring musical themes, powerful motifs and rich orchestration to heighten the emotional impact of each scene.

“The central message of the Lamb of God is hope, and that hope guides every aspect of our casting process. We feel a sacred responsibility to portray the final week of Christ’s mortal ministry in a way that invites audiences to walk beside Him and those who loved Him, and to feel the hope, joy, and triumph made possible through His glorious Resurrection,” says artistic director and conductor Erin Gray, founder of the San Diego Saints Choir.
